Class of 2011

  • MBTA’s Class of 2011 graduated 46 students in a ceremony held at the Blaisdell Concert Hall.
  • LSU freshman Randi Lau earned her first collegiate win with a season-best 9.90 on the vault in a tri-meet win over Washington and Seattle Pacific on Friday, Feb. 3rd. (Click here for more information)

 

Class of 2010

  • MBTA’s Class of 2010 graduated 48 students in a ceremony held at the Blaisdell Concert Hall.

 

Class of 2009

  • MBTA’s Class of 2009 graduated 56 students in a ceremony held at the Blaisdell Arena.

 

Class of 2008

  • Class of 2008 graduated 54 students in a ceremony held at the Blaisdell Concert Hall.
  • As of December 2010, Erik Ramseyer was asked to become a Senior Airman six months early as part of the Air Force program called Senior Airman Below the Zone. Additionally, he has been working as an aircraft mechanic on an C-17 stationed at McCord AFB, WA. He is part of the Honor Guard unit which renders military honors at the funerals of retired and veteran members of the Air Force and the former Army Air Corps and Army Air Forces.
  • As of June 2009, Kristie Kobashigawa is entering her second year of college majoring in Biology at the University of Hawaii-West Oahu (UH-WO) in hopes of becoming a Veterinarian. After completing her four years at UH-WO, she would like to continue pursue her graduate education at Oregon State University or the University of Nevada in Reno. Currently she is working at The All Pets Clinic in Waipahu.
  • As of June 2009, Lael-Lynn Vitale, was working at a bank while getting ready to apply to some local colleges.
  • As of June 2009, Erik Ramseyer, was stationed at Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls, Texas. He is an A1C in the Air Force on active duty for 4 years. He is a crew chief on the C-17 Globemaster III. He will complete technical training for his aircraft through this July. After July he will be moving to McChord AFB in Washington or Shaw AFB in South Carolina. Prior to joining the Air Force, Erik completing firefighting classes at HCC.
  • Noah Bernal (‘08) is currently serving a two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Fortaleza, Brazil. He appreciates the Spanish and French he learned at MBTA that set the foundation for the Portuguese he is now speaking. Noah will be returning to Hawaii in February 2011.
  • On July 26, 2008, Maui graduate Dege O’Connell (’08), won the third event of the Mada/Sun Diego Summer Surf Series held at San Fernando Place in Mission Beach, California. Class of 2007

  • MBTA’s Class of 2007 graduated 44 students in a ceremony held at the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall.
  • After graduating from MBTA, Oahu graduate Tristan Sealy (’07) enrolled at Central Arizona College and continued his passion for playing basketball.
  • As of June 2009, Casey Matsunaga ‘07, was attending Hawaii Community College on the Big Island. He will be graduating next semester with an AA in Liberal Arts and he has been a member of the Phi Thetta Kappa honor society since his first semester at HCC. He hopes to transfer to UH Hilo and to major in Psychology. In addition to going to school, Casey has also been working two part-time jobs. For over 2 years he has been a video clerk at a local video store and for the past year he has been a student office automation clerk at the USDA Forest Service, IPIF.
  • In April Koa Naihe (’07) will be heading out to the Philippines to serve a mission for my church for two years. Since graduating he worked at Don Quijote in Kailua where he worked my way up the “chain of command”. After two years he became a floater and could do basically every job there. In the summer of 2008 he also flew up to Maui to manage a small Boy Scout store for 2 months. Koa just recently left Don Quijote to get ready for my mission. When he comes back, he plans on attending Wyotech in Long Beach, CA.

 

Class of 2006

  • MBTA’s Class of 2006 graduated 35 students in a ceremony held at the Kamehameha Schools Auditorium.
  • In February of 2011, Katie Bruening’s swimsuit design was published on Sports Illustrated. Click on the following link to see her design in worn by the Sports Illustrated model: Sports Illustrated Website
  • In December of 2008, Maui graduate Dusty Payne (’06) earned a spot in the Billabong Pipeline Masters Surf contest on the North Shore of Oahu, but was eliminated in Round 3. For more information about this contest read: Billabong Pipeline Masters Surf Contest blog.
  • On October 14, 2008, Maui graduate Dusty Payne (’06) won a check for $20,000 while competing in the Oakley Pro Junior Global Challenge in Bail, Indonesia. For more information about this win check out: Oakley Pro Junior Global Challenge article
  • In September of 2008, Hawaii graduate Casey Brown (’06) won the Vans El Ponto Loco contest held in Carlsbad, California. For more information visit: Vans El Ponto Loco write-up.
  • Both Dusty Payne (’06) and Casey Brown (’06) are part of the Nike 6.0 Surf Team.
  • Kauai graduate, Kyle Ramey (’06) is part of the US Surf Team. For more information visit: Kyle Ramey’s profile.
  • William Cooney (’06) is currently attending Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin, and plans on graduating in June 2010 with a B.A. in Philosophy and Classics.
  • Josh “Hazmat” Ulep (’06), with his team Hype 5-0, appeared on America’s Best Dance Crew, Season 5, Episode 4. America’s Best Dance Crew a dance competition that airs on MTV. Class of 2005

  • MBTA’s Class of 2005 graduated 27 students in a ceremony held at the Kamehameha School Auditorium.
  • Oahu graduate, Mose Atuatasi (’05) has been playing basketball for Porterville College located in California.

 

Class of 2004

  • MBTA’s Class of 2004 graduated 26 students in a ceremony held at the Kamehameha Schools Chapel.

 

Class of 2003

  • MBTA’s Class of 2003 graduated 15 students in a ceremony held at the Kamehameha Schools Auditorium.
  • In 2005 Maui graduate, Megan Robertson (’03) represented the United States in dressage at the North American Young Riders’ Championship. Robertson represented Region 3 and rode the horse named Leopold. For more information visit: Dressage Daily website
